1.5.2 Agora import
The import medium for the Agora system is available once an XML file has been created. The next step is to import the document. This process is automatic in Agora. A so-called ‚hotfolder’ is defined as the import directory, which recieves all created XML data. The system constantly inspects the content of the import directory and imports all XML documents that correspond with the system requirements. By importing the XML data, the existing digital collections are filled.
After importing, the document created in XML is located in the system and can be called up via an internet query.
An export of the documents can be executed with the Agora WebAdmin: The Agora export offers two formats: XML and PDF. XML export creates XML files that are identical with the previously imported data (advantage: the format created once can be repoduced any time!) – additionally, the images are extracted in their original format. PDF export creates a PDF for each document that is assigned bookmarks which contains the compiled structure together with the image data:
