1.5.3 Web presentation

As was already mentioned, the documents are available immediately after import via internet searches. The HTML templates belonging to the Agora system are reponsible for the presentation of the documents on the web. The following are standard templates:

- Search Template for query

- Hitlist Template for issuing the list of results

- View Template for issuing the document pages

- Biblio Template for issuing the metadata

- Toc Template for issuing a virtual table of contents

These templates can be configured freely and can be adapted to the respective project/customer wishes. Expansions, e.g. with browsing templates, are possible at any time. In this way, alphabetically sorted lists (e.g.: ‚all authors’ or ‚all magazines’ of a collection) can be created that give the user the opportunity to get an overview of the stock of documents without knowing search criteria beforehand.

The following applies to web queries:

in principle, all search terms can be combined, they can be linked with AND and with OR. The so-called ‚simple search’, which unspecifically searches, can also be installed, as well as an ‚expert search’, which can provide the user with any number of search criteria. If scanned documents are available in the system, for which, e.g. additional full text information has been saved using OCR, these can be presented in the so-called Highlighting On Facsimile procedure. This is a combined presentation of the image and the full text. The query is carried out in the text information of the document, the system delivers the results as an image, and the places in the text that were found are marked in the image.
